Born into a family owned design-build landscaping company in San Diego, his work integrates the beauty and function of craftsmanship with a profound understanding of botany.

After studying horticulture at CalPoly San Luis Obispo, William explored wilderness areas and gardens all over the Americas, England, Italy, Thailand and Japan, thus cultivating his strong connection to the natural systems.
